Renogy CORE 12V/60A – DC-DC Charger

The Renogy CORE 12V/60A is a powerful DC-DC charger designed for charging a service battery from an alternator while driving. With a charging current of up to 60A, it is suitable for larger battery systems in camper vans, caravans, expedition vehicles, or boats.

The charger supports both traditional and smart alternators and is suitable for LiFePO4, AGM, gel, and other deep-cycle batteries. The three-stage charging algorithm automatically manages the entire charging process.

Three-Stage Charging

The Renogy CORE uses an automatic three-stage charging process: Bulk – Boost – Float. The charger adjusts the individual phases according to the battery status to ensure the service battery is charged correctly and efficiently while driving.

For Traditional and Smart Alternators

The charger can be used with both traditional and modern smart alternators.

Using the D+ signal, it can detect a running engine and only start charging when power is available from the alternator. This helps prevent the starter battery from discharging when the engine is off.

The D+ cable is not included.

Charging Current Limit

The charging current can be adjusted using the LC connection. This is useful, for example, in installations where it is not desirable to use the full 60A power of the charger or where it is necessary to limit the alternator load.

The LC cable is not included.

Battery Protection

The Renogy CORE features several electronic protections that monitor both the charger and the connected battery system.

It also supports an external temperature sensor, which allows charging to be adjusted according to battery temperature.

The temperature sensor is not included and is not intended for use with lithium batteries.
