The SmartSolar solar charge controller efficiently processes energy from solar panels and stores it in batteries, with an emphasis on maximizing the use of available solar power. Thanks to intelligent charge management, it keeps the battery in optimal condition and contributes to extending its lifespan. The controller is able to resume charging even a deeply discharged battery and operates at battery voltages as low as 0V, provided the battery cells are not permanently damaged, for example, due to sulfation.
Main features:
Ultra-fast MPPT technology:
The controller continuously monitors the voltage and current from the solar panels and, thanks to MPPT technology, extracts maximum energy from them, which is particularly beneficial with variable sunlight intensity. MPPT technology provides up to 30% higher energy yield compared to PWM solar charge controllers and up to 10% higher yield compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Remote monitoring and control:
If your installation is connected to the internet via a GX device, the VRM portal provides access to your devices anytime, anywhere.
Load output:
The intelligent load output function prevents batteries from discharging below critical levels. You can configure the voltage at which SmartSolar disconnects the load, preventing excessive battery discharge. The BatteryLife function keeps the battery in good condition and extends its lifespan.
Built-in Bluetooth:
You can pair the SmartSolar solar charge controller with your smartphone or other device via the VictronConnect app thanks to built-in Bluetooth and set up, monitor, or update the system.
VE.Direct connector:
VE.Direct is used to connect to a GX device, PC, or other devices.
